Come watch some of the best professional beach volleyball players from across North America take to the sand, July 13-15, 2018, at Kitsilano Beach, Vancouver, B.C.
Building off of the success of last year’s tournament that saw more than 20,000 people take in the action, this year, the Vancouver Open is sure to be bigger than ever thanks to a new local sponsor – Natura Solutions!
Natura Solutions is a start-up company, focusing on enzyme based cleaning solutions. It was formed by Rob Penz, who has served as president of Medtrica Solutions Ltd. for nearly 15 years and Tess Parent, formerly the Sales Manager with craft beer maker, Driftwood Brewery. They will be launching this new Vancouver-based company this summer!
“Tess and I have been a part of the Lower Mainland’s volleyball community for many years and our main goal in the development of this partnership is to give back to a community that has given so much to both of us,” Penz said. “We hope that our involvement, along with that of existing and future sponsors will help not only in the development of the Vancouver Open, but also to help grow the sport of beach volleyball at the youth levels, all the way up to adult rec and pro levels.”
Natura Solutions will be the presenting sponsor for the Vancouver Open in 2018 & 2019!
Because of Natura Solutions’ involvement, the tournament will be bigger and better than ever!
- Prize money will be doubled from last year’s tournament to $30,000 dollars, making the Vancouver Open, Canada’s richest professional beach volleyball event!
- FREE Event – perfect day at the beach for the family and friends.
- Feature court will have a video screen to show replays of all the action!
- The VIP area and bleacher seating around the feature court area will be expanded to seat roughly 1,000 people!
- The overall athlete experience will be awesome!
- And MUCH MORE to be announced in the coming weeks…STAY TUNED!
“This truly is the dawning of a new era for the Vancouver Open and we couldn’t be doing the things we’re planning on doing this year without help from Natura Solutions and our other partners,” said Chris Densmore, Volleyball BC, CEO. “I’m so excited for this year’s tournament and it having a more AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) tour stop feel than past Vancouver Opens and look nothing like any beach volleyball event this side of the 49th parallel.”
Natura Solutions’ mission is to make natural, enzyme based, cleaning solutions that are effective, biodegradable and non-toxic. Chemical free, enzyme based cleaners are safer for our environment; our ecosystem, our belongings, and those around us.
