This past weekend Volleyball BC hosted the 17U boys, 16U girls, and 14U Girls Baden Cup tryouts at six locations around the province. We had over 400 athletes come to the tryouts this year, which is a new record for Baden Cup! The Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley athletes were packed in at Harry Jerome in Burnaby while others took place in Nanaimo, Kelowna, Prince George, Terrace & the Kootenays.

The 17U boys and 16U Girls will be selected to attend the Baden Cup in Kamloops, BC from June 30 -July 3. From here, more selections will be made to Team BC for the athletes to attend the prestigious Western Elites tournament on July 18-20.

The 14U Girls that are selected will attend the 14U Baden Cup in Richmond/Vancouver BC from July 7-10. The girls will also be joined with the 14U boys and train two days on the beach (Spanish Banks) and two days at the Richmond Oval. This will be the athletes first glimpse at a Team BC program.

All selections will be posted online by early next week (Monday or Tuesday). All athletes will also be receiving emails indicating if they have been selected or not.
