3. Please select “Events” from the menu on the left or “Add” under events in the centre of the page. A list of volleyball events will be listed in order by date. Select the event you are seeking. You may also filter the list by selecting the relevant Event Group, for your event.

Get ready for an action-packed week at our Multisport Summer Camp, where kids can dive into a variety of exciting sports and activities! Our camp is perfect for young athletes looking to improve their skills, make new friends, and have a blast. Here’s what we have lined up:

🏐 Volleyball
Kickstart the day with fun volleyball drills, games, and skill-building activities. Perfect for beginners and experienced players alike!

🍎Morning Snack Break (10:15 AM – 10:30 AM)
A quick break to recharge and refuel with a healthy snack.

Continued fun and skill development with volleyball activities.

🥪 Lunch Break (12:15 PM – 12:45 PM)
A 30-minute lunch break to relax and enjoy some downtime with friends.

 Ringette
Experience the thrill of ringette in the afternoon sessions. Kids will learn the basics, develop their techniques, and enjoy engaging mini-games.

Another snack break to keep the energy levels high.

 Pickleball

Wrap up the day with the fast-paced, fun sport of pickleball. Whether your child is new to the game or a seasoned player, they’ll enjoy learning and playing in a supportive environment.

1) Smashball  AND Train & Play at Harry Jerome Sports Centre (Burnaby)

The Train & Play sessions are designed for participants of all levels to learn volleyball in a low-pressure, developmentally appropriate environment. Coaches will instruct the participants on the different technical and tactical skills of volleyball using both the traditional and conceptual approach.

All Smashball programs progress through a number of levels that introduce new tactics and game concepts while incorporating additional volleyball skills.  The program typically targets athletes aged 8 to 12 years old. The Smashball program is open to everyone in those ages regardless of their experience level. Coaches will adapt the program and introduce new concepts so that all athletes are engaged and learning at all levels.

2) Youth League:

The youth league will see participants receive approximately 20-30 minutes of instruction with the remaining time dedicated to gameplay. The league will be focused on 6 vs 6 and will see teams rotating and changing each week, while remaining within the designated cohort.

This league is for ages 13-15U and 16-18U

Cost:

$100 for 5 sessions

Information:

These programs are once per week for 1.5 hours per day. This program will have brief instruction (approximately 20-30 minutes) with the rest of the time being focused on gameplay.

1) Beach Train & Play:

The Beach Train & Play Programs are a great place to start learning about beach volleyball. The programs will see participants of all levels come together to learn and improve the basic skills of beach volleyball.

The maximum number of participants will be 12 participants per court.

Beach Train and Play sessions run in the spring/summer season. 

Cost:

$80 for 4 sessions

Information:

These programs are once per week for 1.5 hours per day. There will be programs running on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays with each program running for 4 sessions.

2) CLUB PREP CAMPS:

Get ready for club volleyball tryouts!

Looking to get a head start on the competition, and get in some last minute training prior to club tryouts?

Volleyball BC is offering a Club Prep Camp. Fall 2024 dates and location to be confirmed. Club Prep Camp includes two, 3 hour, advanced skills sessions with the goal of supporting committed volleyball players who want to try out for club volleyball in early December. This camp will feature experienced volleyball coaches who can help with the development of the skills necessary for a successful tryout with a club team. This camp is for hard working, passionate athletes eager to try out for a club team this fall.

3) Winter & Spring Break Regional Development Camps

Volleyball BC is excited to invite athletes 13-16U to register for Regional Development Camps  If you are looking to grow your skills and increase your volleyball IQ while having lots of fun, these camps are for you! Athletes attending our Regional Development Camps will have the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, and be exposed to developmentally appropriate high performance volleyball concepts. 4) Summer Overnight Volleyball Camp for Girls

Volleyball BC is excited to be partnering with St. Michael’s University School (SMUS). An independent, not-for-profit school in Victoria, BC, SMUS offers its community and the public hands-on, skill-based camp programs that offer learners the opportunity to Learn, Discover, and Create in a safe, engaging and fun environment.

The overnight Volleyball Camp has been divided into two age groups, each with its own set of dates.

  • Ages 13-14: July 2nd to July 6th
  • Ages 15-17: August 6th to August 10th

The volleyball camp will focus on skill development, game specific scenarios, mental approaches to the game, Volleyball IQ, teamwork, and many other facets of the game.

If you are an athlete that is serious about getting better at volleyball, this camp is for you.

5) Summer Volleyball Camp for Boys & Girls 14 and Under

Team BC 14U: IGNITE Vancouver Island is a 5 day camp being held August 19-23 at Brentwood College in Mill Bay, designed to introduce and prepare athletes for future experiences in Regional and Provincial High Performance programs.

IGNITE is the athletes’ first encounter with the Team BC High Performance Programs. This camp has 12U-14U athletes training with some of the best coaches in the region. Athletes will focus on enhancing all of the basic skills and will be introduced to advanced skills and tactics. This is one of our most popular programs and challenges athletes both on and off the court with mental training, team building, friendly competitions, and more.
