How to Register for Youth Programs

1. Please CLICK HERE if you need to create an account in our new registration system, or to log in to register.
Before clicking link, above, please look below for how to find information on each individual program.

2. Once you create an account, you will receive an email to activate your account. Please do this prior to attempting to register.

3. Please select “Events” from the menu on the left or “Add” under Events in the centre of the page. A list of volleyball events will be listed in order by date. Select the event you are seeking by matching the Sportlomo ID to the item on the page. You may also filter the list by selecting the relevant Event Group, for your event.

4. Enter the purchaser’s information as prompted. Then enter the registration information as prompted.

5. Make payment with the secure checkout (you will receive an email confirmation that you have been registered).

Learn To Play (Smashball)

Learn to Play (Smashball) 8-12U – This introductory camp invites players into the game by building the core skills of passing, setting, attacking and serving through targeted drills, small sided gameplay and loud, fun movement challenges! Active, guided discovery of the game led by experienced and accredited coaches!

Train to Play 13-16U – This developmental camp builds on Learn to Play with expansion of the core skills, an emphasis on skill linkage in active gameplay, and an introduction of simple team concepts within a fun, loud, challenging atmosphere led by experienced and accredited coaches! 
 

House Leagues

The youth league will see participants receive approximately 20-30 minutes of instruction with the remaining time dedicated to gameplay. The league will be focused on 6 vs 6 and will see teams rotating and changing each week, while remaining within the designated cohort.

This league is for ages 13-15U and 16-18U and is recommended for more advanced players.

Regional Development camps

Volleyball BC is excited to welcome all athletes ages 13-16 years old to register for Regional Development Camps across the province. If you are looking to grow your skills and increase your Volleyball IQ while having lots of fun, these camps are for you!

Athletes that attend our Regional Development Camps will have the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, and be exposed to developmentally appropriate high performance volleyball concepts. To increase your advantage over your competition, register today!

Volleyball BC hosts learn to play, skill development and high performance volleyball programs in all parts of the province. The many of our programs are hosted at the Harry Jerome Sports Centre, the home of VBC.

Summer Overnight Girls Volleyball Camp

Volleyball BC is excited to continue partnering with St. Michael’s University School (SMUS). An independent, not-for-profit school in Victoria, BC, SMUS offers its community and the public hands-on, skill-based camp programs that offer learners the opportunity to Learn, Discover, and Create in a safe, engaging and fun environment.
The overnight Volleyball Camp has been divided into two age groups, for girls, each with its own set of dates.
 
  • Ages 13-14: Sunday, June 28th – Friday, July 3rd, 2026
  • Ages 15-17: Monday, Aug 3rd – Saturday, Aug 8th, 2026

The volleyball camp will focus on skill development, game specific scenarios, mental approaches to the game, Volleyball IQ, teamwork, and many other facets of the game.

If you are an athlete that is serious about getting better at volleyball, this camp is for you.

Get ready for club volleyball tryouts!

Looking to get a head start on the competition, and get in some last minute training prior to club tryouts?

Volleyball BC is offering a Club Prep Camp in the fall of 2026. Club Prep Camp includes two, 3 hour, advanced skills sessions with the goal of supporting committed volleyball players who want to try out for club volleyball in early December. This camp will feature experienced volleyball coaches who can help with the development of the skills necessary for a successful tryout with a club team. This camp is for hard working, passionate athletes eager to try out for a club team this fall.

Strength and Conditioning Fundamentals for Volleyball Athletes

Partnering with MCP Sports Conditioning in Victoria, and Prime’ Performance & Therapy in Nanaimo, this 8-week program will cover:

Specificity Of Training – What’s best for young athletes to be doing.

  • Mobility
  • Agility 
  • Endurance 
  • Aerobic

  • Warm up and cool down 

We will cover all of these concepts and answer the questions of 

  • How to perform exercises
  • Why we perform certain exercises
  • When we perform certain exercises
  • What exercises we will concentrate on
  • How to make exercise and fitness fun, for life

Injury prevention & injury management

  • Regeneration and recovery
  • Injury assessment 
  • Return to play protocols

For the most part this will be a teaching (learning) opportunity to provide young athletes with the fundamentals and concepts to prepare themselves properly for competition at higher levels.

Girls Volleyball Summer Overnight Camp

Volleyball BC is is proud to partner with Shawnigan Lake School (SLS) to offer a fun and skills-filled week of Girls’ Volleyball camp. Shawnigan Lake School is an independent, co-educational boarding school. It is located on a 270-acre lakefront campus in Shawnigan Lake, BC. which offers unparalleled accommodations, world class athletic facilities, and acres of picturesque grounds. Overnight campers are treated to an immersive Shawnigan experience that includes eating in our stunning dining hall, swimming in Shawnigan Lake, engaging in evening games and activities, and staying in one of our fully equipped boarding houses along with Shawnigan staff members.

Ignite 14-18U – This Train to compete program is the capstone piece in our developmental arc.  We look to offer athletes the advanced skill development tools to assist their push from Rec to Club volleyball and beyond!  Ignite camps and programs bring together fully linked game play, advanced skill acquisition, and position based training to guide athletes into the competitive phase of their development!

Dates: August 18-22, 2025

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Location: Cameron Park, Kelowna

Details: this is an introductory camp (recommended ages 10-14) that focuses on the key skills of passing, serving and attacking. Participants can expect skills, drills, games and fun!

Cost: $395.00

Participants are required to bring lunch, snacks and a water bottle each day.
