Volleyball BC has a policy-based and governance-focused board, which hires a Chief Executive Officer to implement policy and lead the operations the organization. The Board is accountable to its members – the competitive players, coaches and referees who are voting members of Volleyball BC.
Volleyball BC has 7-9 Directors on the Board: 7 elected Directors serve terms of two years, up to 2 appointed Directors serve a term of one year.

Volleyball BC’s AGM takes place in May each year. Before each AGM, we put out a Call for Nominations for the Board. In 2026, we were seeking candidates for these positions on the VBC Board of Directors:

In addition to Board members, we also welcome expressions of interest from individuals interested in being involved in one of our Committees. Being on a Committee is a rewarding way to support volleyball in BC, develop new skills and relationships, and decide whether you might be interested in getting involved on the Board.
