2026 VBC Coach Requirements
VBC has the same coach requirements as in 2025. Below are some important dates and info:
- Coaches must complete CRC & Enhanced Screening and Safe Sport before coaching/being approved in SportLomo.
- Your CRC Expires every 3 years, all other requirements all other requirements do not expire.
- MED Eval, Making Headway, and if needed, Foundations and the Development Coach Workshop must be completed by March 1st.
- Coaching Requirements need to be completed regardless of attendance at provincial championships
2026 VC Coach Requirements
VC has the same coach requirements as 2025. Below are important dates and info:
- All Coaches attending VC Nationals need Foundations of Volleyball.
- Head Coaches, coaching at their third plus VC Nationals will need to be a Certified Development Coach.
- Coaches who need to be certified, MUST be registerd for an evaluation by Feb. 1st in order to be eligible for an evaluation or an exemption.
The NCCP guides Volleyball BC’s youth club system within the framework of the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model. Each NCCP course has three distinct phases toward certification. Completion of each phase provides the coach with one of three designations: “In Training”, “Trained”, or “Certified”. The Coaching Association of Canada has implemented a Maintenance of Certification Policy, which Volleyball Canada has adopted. The NCCP Professional Development Policy states that coaches will need to accrue points over a 5 year span. You can check your NCCP transcript online via the NCCP Locker Database. In the database, you will be able to view and update your personal information, monitor your coaching records, and print a certification transcript.
