A Review of 2025 & Looking Ahead to 2026
In March 2025, the Board approved a new Strategic Plan for 2025-2028. The Plan is the product of extensive consultation with our members and stakeholders, reflecting their input, priorities, and aspirations. It sets out our vision, our values, and our next steps.
As an organization, our focus over the next four years is to channel the growth of volleyball in the right direction. We are committed to expanding opportunities, strengthening capacity, and fostering a sport culture that is welcoming, respectful, and safe for everyone.
We have now concluded Year 1 of this Strategic Plan. As part of our commitment to sharing with the volleyball community, this 2025 In Review Report summarizes the achievements since the Plan was launched and outlines our priorities for 2026.
It takes a community – and we are grateful for the support of our members, partners, Committees, Board, and staff who continue to work hard to move our sport forward. We look forward to “powering lifelong passion for volleyball” in 2026!
Annual Member survey Results - 2025
For the past 5 years, we have conducted an Annual Member Survey to hear from our members. The survey runs for several months each Spring so that we can capture feedback from youth athletes and their families, our adult participants, coaches, referees, and club directors. In 2025, the survey received just under 500 responses.
The survey provides us with invaluable feedback about your experiences, priorities, and areas of opportunity and improvement. With our new Strategic Plan, we will use annual surveys to:
- Establish satisfaction levels, perception of, and areas of improvement for Volleyball BC.
- Develop benchmark measures on safety, wellbeing, satisfaction and engagement that can be repeated annually to improve our services and programs.
- Identify priorities and next steps on these key areas which can translated into action plans for forthcoming years.
You can see a copy of the 2025 survey results here. These results have been shared with Board and staff, and have been used to inform our planning and delivery for 2026. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond.
