To begin the process of starting your new club, you will need to go through our Club Application process, using our Club Application Form for the 2026/2027 Season. Please carefully read the requirements below and ensure that you have them on hand as you complete the application because you will be required to upload them.

You will be asked to provide the following information for your club in the application form: 

•  Basic Information, including:
  • Club name
  • Year club was formed
  • Location 
  • Club email
  • Mission and vision of your club
  • Club website
  • Number of Girls & Boys teamsyou intend to offer
•  Person(s) Responsible For the Club:
  • Name of Club President/Director (Primary Contact)
  • Name(s) of Club Administrator(s) (Secondary Contact) 
  • Name of Person In Authority/SafeSport Screening Contact
  • Name of Requirements/Education Contact
  • Other Club Staff
    

All approved Clubs must meet Volleyball BC’s Club Operating Requirements which include the following:

• Governance: Confirmation of the club’s organizational status and list of Board of Directors / key personnel. 
• Persons In Authority: Confirmation that all Persons of Authority within the club will complete their Criminal Record Check, CAC Safe Sport Training, Screening Disclosure Form & membership registration prior to working within their roles.
• Coach Education Confirmation that the club will ensure all coaches are aware of the coach eligibility requirements
• Procedures and Procedures: Agreement to uphold the procedures and policies of Volleyball Canada and Volleyball BC.
• Publication of Club Policies:
  • Complaint, dispute resolution, or issue resolution procedure and point of contact.
  • Parent/Guardian, Athlete and Coach Code of Conduct
  • Conflict of Interest Policy
  • Refund Policy
• Dispute Resolution and Disciplinary Sanctions: Commitment to participate in dispute resolution and uphold disciplinary sanctions
• Communication and Compliance: Acknowledgement and agreement to comply with all areas outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding and Club Operating Requirements. 
• Memorandum of Understanding: Circulation of the VBC MOU to Board/ Key Personal and upload a signed copy of the Memorandum of Understanding in the club application form.
