Volleyball BC is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Bell as the organization’s new Manager, Pathway Development.
Brad brings a broad and accomplished background as a high‑performance athlete, coach, and senior leader in the Private Member Club sector.
Raised in Edmonton, he competed at every stage of the Canadian volleyball pathway, earning two U18 club national championships, two CCAA national titles, a CIS (U SPORTS) national title, an Open national title, and a NORCECA championship. He also represented Canada at the Junior World Championships, finishing fifth, before continuing his career professionally in Finland.
After his playing career, Brad moved into coaching and spent several successful seasons with Grant MacEwan University, where he was named ACAC Coach of the Year (2007) and guided the Griffins to multiple national championship appearances. His experience across club, collegiate, and international volleyball has given him a strong understanding of athlete development as well as the broader Canadian system.
Alongside his volleyball work, Brad has held senior leadership roles in the Private Member Club sector in both Alberta and British Columbia. His experience in these organizations strengthened his leadership, operational, and member‑focused skills, all of which he now brings to his role at Volleyball BC.
We welcome Brad’s experience and expertise to Volleyball BC and are excited for the contributions he will make to the development of athletes, coaches, and officials across British Columbia!
